Preparing chairsidecam
Before productive use, you must prepare chairsidecam .

Schritt 1: Installation
With Z4 machines, dentalcam & dentalcnc is pre-installed on the CAM computer The computer that is connected to your machine and which runs dentalcam and dentalcnc. supplied.

chairsidecam is particularly suitable for use with the 3Shape Produceworkflow.

New users of Z4 machines set up 3Shape Produce during machine start-up.
Recommendation: After connecting your Z4 machine, read: Set up the CAM computer

Existing users of Z4 machines and users of other machines configure their existing software accordingly.

Schritt 2: Activate chairsidecam
If you have not already enabled chairsidecam during the setup of 3Shape Produce , do so now:

Open the dentalcamapplication settings window with the following icon in the main icon bar:

Open the View for general settings with the following icon in the program settings icon bar:

Activate the Activate ChairsideCAM option.

Save your changes with the following icon:

Restart dentalcam.

dentalcam starts as chairsidecam.

Schritt 3: Configure blank types
Limit the list of available blank types to the materials you actually use. This speeds up material selection for each job.

Schritt 4: Set root folder for STL data
Set a root folder for your STL files. This allows you to import objects with just a few clicks.
Schritt 5: Store tools used
For all machines except Z4 , you must configure your tools in dentalcnc .
