Exchanging the measuring sensor

The measuring sensor is located in the working chamber:

  1. Have ready:

    • 1 x Spare measuring sensor

       

    • 1 x TX20 angle screwdriver

       

    • 1 x Tool magazine insert

       

    • 1 x Insert for the AirTool

       

  2. Open the working chamber door.
  3. CAUTION!Wear gloves.

  4. Pull the tool magazine off the tool magazine holder.

  5. NOTICE! Remove all tools from the tool magazine.

  6. Close DentalCNC.

  7.  

     

  8. Switch off the machine at the main power switch.

     

  9. Use the TX20 angle screwdriver to remove the 2 screws holding the measuring sensor in place.

  10. Carefully pull off the measuring sensor. Pay attention to the plugged-in measuring sensor cable.

  11. Push in the side clip on the connector of the measuring sensor cable and pull the connector out of the socket.

  12.  

     

     

  13. Remove the measuring sensor with its cable from the working chamber.

  14. Pick up the spare measuring sensor.

    Make sure that the gasket (marked orange) is properly inserted.

  15. Insert the plug in the A-axis module into the socket of the measuring sensor cable.

  16. Plug the spare measuring sensor onto the positioning pins. Make sure that the measuring sensor cable is not damaged.

  17. Use the TX20 angle screwdriver to tighten the spare measuring sensor with the 2 screws.

  18.  

     

     

     

  19. Exchange the tool magazine insert and the AirTool insert (included in the spare measuring sensor scope of delivery).

  20. Close the working chamber door.

  21. Switch on the machine at the main power switch.

  22. Start DentalCNC.

  23.  

     

     

  24. In DentalCNC, do the following:
    1. Measure the measuring sensor.
    2. Drill the tool positions.
    3. Calibrate the axes.
