Retrieving basic machine data

Where do I find the machine serial number, control unit number, DentalCAM license key, operating hours of the spindle?

Machine data in the machine data view

You can find basic machine data in the view Machine data

  1. Open the DentalCNC Application settings with the following icon in the main icon bar

  2. Open the Machine data view with the following icon in the local icon bar

    1. Icon indicating whether the machine is locked

    2. License key

    3. Machine serial number

    4. DentalCNC license status

    5. DentalCAM license status

    6. Controller serial number or Product key

Icon indicating whether the machine is locked

The icon has 2 states:

Machine is unlocked

Machine is locked. Editing is not possible. Contact customer service.

Only vhf can lock and unlock machines.

License key and license status

For information on the license key, see Entering the license key.

There are 2 license statuses:

  • OKThe program is properly licensed.
  • NOKThe program is not licensed.

Machine serial number, product key and control unit serial number

Machine serial numbers beginning with TSN are incorrect. In this case, read the serial number on the identification plate of the machine.

Current machine parameters

You can view continuously updated machine data in the Current machine parameters view:

  1. Open the DentalCNC Application settings with the following icon in the main icon bar

  2. Open the Current machine parameters view with the following icon in the local icon bar

Current axis and spindle values

The middle section contains the following values:

  • X, Y, Z, A, B: The current position of the axes in mm

  • <n> mm/s: Current feed rate <n> in mm per second

  • <m> RPM: Current speed <m> of the spindle

The values for the operating hours of the spindle are divided into the following categories:
