New dental machine from vhf is now supported: The E5

The E5 is a new airless 5-axis machine for dry machining of discs and blocks* in the laboratory and practice laboratory. It machines blanks from the following materials:

  • Zirconia

  • Composites

  • Wax and plastics (PMMA)

  • CoCr sintered metal

Ivotion machining now also possible on E5 machines

With the new mounting aid, you can now also machine Ivoclar Ivotion discs on E5 machines.

(R5) Holder for prefabricated titanium abutments from Dental Direkt is now supported

You can now activate the abutment holder in the view for customizing the list with blank types in the Other column.

  • To create a job for this abutment holder, select the entry Dental Direkt Prefab -Ti in the blank archive from the Blank type drop-down list.

Import of prefabricated abutments in inLab-SCI format now possible

From now on, you can import prefabricated abutments exported with the inLab program in the STL Import view. The additionally exported SCI file (.sci) must be located in the same folder as the STL file.

Finishing repetition for cavities now also possible for composites

Until now, finishing repetition for cavities was limited to non-precious materials.

As of now, it is also available for milling composite materials.

Indication Occlusal screw-retained bridge can be used with all discs as of now

The indication Occlusal screw-retained bridge can now be selected in the STL Import view for objects in all types of blanks.

Improvements in the machining of the indication Denture

This indication has a larger workspace as of now. This gives the tool more room to move, reducing the likelihood of residual material.

The machining quality Optimal for PMMA has been improved: The surface quality and the maximum angle of attack of the B axis have been increased.

The user interface of the Essentials edition has been improved

We have made the following improvements to the user interface of the Essentials edition:

  • The size of the program window now corresponds to the size of the DentalCNC program window.

  • The workflow now starts with the STL Import view.

This facilitates operation on tablets with touch controls in particular.

Folder for automatic STL import will be created automatically on new installation from now on

Until now, a default path for the automatic STL file import was stored in the DentalCAM settings, but the folder had to be created manually on the data carrier.

From now on, during a new installation, the following folder will be stored in the general program settings and created in the installation folderClosed The folder on your hard drive that you installed DentalCAM and DentalCNC in.: STLimpExtern

Activation function for Ivoclar Ivotion machining now available

As of now, the entry of an unlock code is required for the machining of Ivotion discs.

  • To enter the unlock code, activate the Ivotion machining option in the Machine maintenance view.

    NOTICE! For K5 machines, the activation of the Ivotion DirectDisc blank holder is additionally required.

The function for warming up the spindle in the Machine maintenance view has a new icon:

Bug Fixes

DentalCAM

High sinter bars no longer result in damaged objects and tool breakage

In rare cases, the tool shank would hit the top of the bar on very high sinter bars, causing parts of the object to break away and the tool to fracture.

This behavior has been corrected.
