Checking the axes with the axis power test

The automatic axis power test checks axles for ease of movement.

Procedure

  1. dentalcnc sets the current for the respective axis to the value for standard operation.

  2. dentalcnc moves the axis to its end position and determines the distance to the end switch.

  3. dentalcnc reduces the current by a specified value and moves the axis again.

  4. Step 3 is repeated until the specified lower current limit is reached.

  5. dentalcnc repeats the previous steps depending on the user-defined number of cycles.

  6. dentalcnc compares the measuring values of all cycles with the tolerance range and indicates the success or failure of the test with a color display.

Performing an axis power test

  1. Use dentalcnc to perform an end switch test and exchange all defective end switches. Checking the end switches with the reference switch test

Defective end switches can cause the axis power test to be unsuccessful although the root cause of the malfunctioning originates from the defective end switch(es).

  2. Only if all tested end switches are operational, continue with the axis power test.

  3. Remove any blank or holder from the working chamber.

Otherwise, the spindle may collide with the blank or holder.
