Checking the end switches with the reference switch test

How can I test the reference switches?

With the automatic reference switch test you can check if the axes can reach all end switches and if the end switches send signals.

During the test, all axes will travel to their end positions so that the corresponding end switches should be activated. Success or failure of the test is indicated with color indicators.

  1. Open the dentalcncApplication settings with the following icon in the main toolbar: 

  2. Activate the access level Service.
  3. Open the Machine maintenance view with the following toolbar icon:

  4. Select the following icon:
    • The window for the reference switch test opens. The Number of cycles input field contains the number of test cycles per axis.

  5. Leave the value in the Number of cycles input field default. It has been carefully chosen by vhf for optimal test results.
  6. Select the following icon:
    • The reference switch test starts. The results of the test cycles display in the middle of the window.

  7. Wait until the test is finished.
    • A color indicator for each axis of the connected machine (marked orange) shows whether the reference switch test was successful:
    • Green: The test was successful.
    • Yellow: The test was unsuccessful.
    • Red: The test was unsuccessful.

  8. If the reference switch test was unsuccessful, do the following:

  9. To exit the reference switch test, close the window with the following icon:
