Exchanging the blank holder

  1. Have ready:

    • 1 x Spare blank holder

       

    • 2 x Cylinder screw (M4 x 10, TX20)

    • 2 x Lock washer

    • 2 x Cover cap (M4)

    • 1 x Angle screwdriver TX20

    • 1 x Slotted screwdriver 2.5 mm (approx.)

    • 1 x Wet cloth

  2. Open the working chamber door.

  3. Switch off the machine at the main power switch.

     

  4. Disconnect the machine from all lines.

  5. Insert the slotted screwdriver into the cover caps (marked in blue) and pry them off the screws.

  6. Unscrew the screws (marked orange) and remove the blank holder from the machine.

  7.  

     

     

  8. Clean the mount of the blank holder with the damp cloth.

  9. Pick up the spare measuring key.

  10. Align the recess (marked blue) in the bottom of the blank holder at the positioning pin (marked orange) in the machine and position the blank holder.

  11.  

     

  12. Equip the screws of the spare part with lock washers.

  13. Screw the blank holder tight with the 2 screws (marked orange).

  14. Push the two cover caps (marked blue) onto the screw heads.

  15.  

     

  16. Mill a test specimen and calibrate the machine as necessary.
