Updating to DentalCAM 8 on Z4 machines

Updating to DentalCAM & DentalCNC 8 on Z4 machines involves the following special features:

• DentalCAM & DentalCNC 8 may only be installed on Z4 machines with an external CAM computer The computer that is connected to your machine and which runs DentalCAM and DentalCNC..

• As the Chinese language version has been added , the machine requires a firmware update. If this update is not performed, the touchscreen does not display the Chinese language characters.

  The new firmware version requires manual installation by a service technician.

• DentalCAM & DentalCNC 7 must no longer start automatically when the machine starts.

• When using the CAD/CAM integration with TRIOS Design Studio, the Version 8 installation folder The folder on your hard drive that you installed DentalCAM and DentalCNC in. must be shared on the network.

• When using the 3Shape Produce workflow, this must be set up.

1. Connect to the Z4 CAM computer The computer that is connected to your machine and which runs DentalCAM and DentalCNC..

3. Delete the DentalCAM & DentalCNC 7 folder.

   Alternative: In the DentalCNC 7 application settings, disable the Launch application at Windows startup option.

4. In the DentalCNC 8 application settings, enable the Launch application at Windows startup option.

5. Install firmware Z4_10.86.055.UPD or higher, which contains the touchscreen update. This requires Service access.

6. If you are using the 3Shape Produce workflow, set it up. This excludes CAD/CAM integration with TRIOS Design Studio.

7. When using the CAD/CAM integration with TRIOS Design Studio, enable the installation folder The folder on your hard drive that you installed DentalCAM and DentalCNC in. of version 8:
