Error code 26 / 27– Tool too long / short
DentalCNC aborts the job and displays the error code.

Did you use the correct tools for the job?
You can use the following information in DentalCNC to determine which tools are required:
The required tools in the 'Job details' section of the Machining view
Did the spindle pick up the tool correctly via the collet chuck?
S1, S2, S5: Can you feel the measuring key’s pressure point when pressing it down?
How to check this:
- Open the working chamber door.
- Press down the measuring key.
- Verify that you can feel the pressure point.
Does DentalCNC detect that the measuring key is pressed down?
How to check this:
Is the tool broken or damaged?
Recommendation
- Exchange all incorrect tools.
- Restart the job.
Recommendation
- Remove the tool from the collet chuck.

Clean the collet chuck as described in the machine’s operating instructions.
- If the collet chuck is defective or too soiled to be properly cleaned, exchange it for a spare collet chuck.
