Exchanging the gasket and valves of the blank holder
If the blank holder no longer properly fixates blanks, exchanging the gasket and valves of the blank holder may solve the issue.
- Have ready:
- A wet cloth
- Maintenance set for the blank holder
- Open the working chamber door.

Move and tilt the blank holder manually towards the front of the machine until you can reach the screws of the workholding strap.

Remove the 4 screws (marked orange) that fixate the workholding strap of the blank holder.

Lift off the workholding strap.

Lift off the gasket.

Remove the 2 valves (marked orange) by hand.

Clean the blank holder thoroughly with a damp cloth and a brush.
NOTICE! The lower part of the blank holder must not get wet, since sensitive parts of the clamping mechanism may rust. Make sure to only use a damp cloth.

Press the 2 new valves (marked orange) by hand into the respective drill holes in the blank holder.

Install the new gasket.

Install the workholding strap.

Screw in the 4 screws (marked orange) that fixate the workholding strap.
