Exchanging the working chamber door seal

When the gasket of the working chamber door is worn, it needs to be exchanged. The respective spare part can be obtained from customer service. The spare part consists of the gasket and double-sided adhesive tape.

  1. Open the working chamber door.
  2. Carefully remove the gasket (marked orange) from the groove (marked blue) on the inner side of the working chamber door. Use a flat blunt tool.

  3. Thoroughly clean the groove in the working chamber door with an alcohol based cleaning agent. Make sure that the groove is dry and without any residues.
  4. To attach the spare gasket to the working chamber door, do the following:
    1. Carefully attach the adhesive tape in the groove of the working chamber door.
    2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape.
    3. Carefully attach the gasket (marked orange) along one side of the groove, pull it over the window frame and attach it along the other sides of the groove. Make sure that the gasket fits tightly.

  5. Check if the working chamber door opens and closes properly.
  6. If necessary: Try to adjust the position of the gasket or repeat the previous steps with new adhesive tape.
  7. Grease the working chamber door seal.
  8. Close the working chamber door.
