P14

This is a maintenance update.

If you are updating from Version 7.08.P3 or an earlier version, you need to calibrate the axes of the machine after installation.

Changes:

  • When you move objects in Z direction in the nesting view, DentalCAM now shows whether the objects have been placed with sufficient distance to the top and bottom edge of the blank.

In the object list, the color marking indicates the status:

    • Red: Object position too high or too low.

    • Yellow: Distance very small. There is an increased risk that the object will not be manufactured properly.

    • Green: Object correctly placed.

For jobs created before the update to 7.08 P14, the status is displayed in red, even for objects with the correct distance.

Opening the editing function for moving objects corrects the status for the corresponding object.

  • During the reference drive, the cone cleaning air from the spindle is activated. This will eject any tool that is present in the collet chuck. This prevents collisions if the user has ignored the prompt to remove the tool.

  • For the Vita Mark II and Trilux ZirCAD block types, the automatic placement aid function has been optimized during nesting. This increases the process reliability.

P13

This is a maintenance update.

If you are updating from Version 7.08.P3 or an earlier version, you need to calibrate the axes of the machine after installation.

Changes:

  • Added new systems for prefabricated abutments: Cowellmedi and C-Tech Implant

(Z4 integrated workflow) Patient data which you entered in exocad ChairsideCAD will now display on the touchscreen

The machine is now able to receive patient data which was entered in exocad ChairsideCAD and display it on the touchscreen.

(Z4 integrated workflow) STL files imported from exocad ChairsideCAD will no longer be repositioned

When an STL file was automatically imported into DentalCAM from exocad ChairsideCAD, the object was repositioned 5 mm to the right by mistake. This could lead to spindle collisions.

This behavior has been corrected.

Error in the blank height optimization sometimes led to problems during roughing

An error in the blank height optimization sometimes caused DentalCAM to not apply the strategy for removing the material to create the workspace around objects. Instead, the machine would start with roughing part of the objects.

This behavior has been corrected.

Objects can no longer be nested outside of block boundaries

It was possible to position objects slightly outside the boundaries of blocks without DentalCAM indicating that the position was invalid.

This behavior has been corrected.
